What is Bouncer?
Bouncer is Doughy's built-in AI safety layer. It sits between your AI agents and the outside world, ensuring nothing happens without the right level of oversight.
Why Bouncer Exists
AI agents are powerful, but they shouldn't operate without guardrails. Bouncer solves three problems:
1.Control — you decide how much autonomy each agent has
2.Visibility — you see everything your agents do, in real time
3.Safety — agents can't overspend, send unauthorized messages, or take actions outside their scope
Bouncer is not an add-on or premium feature. It's included on every Doughy plan at no extra cost, because we believe AI safety shouldn't be optional.
How It Works
Every action your AI team takes passes through Bouncer's evaluation:
1.An agent prepares an action — sending an email, making a call, executing a task
2.Bouncer checks the trust level — does this agent have permission to do this independently?
3.If yes — the action proceeds and is logged in the activity feed
4.If no — the action is held for your approval in the Approvals queue
The check happens instantly. For agents at Full trust, you won't notice any delay. For agents at lower trust levels, items simply queue up for your review.
What Bouncer Controls
•Outbound communication — emails, SMS, phone calls
•Financial actions — expense categorization, invoice generation, payment reminders
•Data modifications — changes to contacts, properties, or deals
•External integrations — syncing with QuickBooks, Google Calendar, or other services
•Content publishing — social media posts, blog articles, newsletters
The Kill Switch
Every Bouncer screen includes a prominent kill switch. When activated:
•All agent activity stops immediately
•Pending actions are held (not deleted)
•No outgoing communication is sent
•Existing scheduled items are paused
The kill switch is your emergency brake. Use it if something unexpected happens, and take your time reviewing before re-enabling agents.
Accessing Bouncer
Bouncer has its own tab in the app's bottom navigation. You can also:
•Check Bouncer from any push notification about a pending approval
•Ask your AI team "What's pending in Bouncer?" via voice command
•Set up daily email digests of Bouncer activity
